The Wedding
1 August 2010 – Seri Medan, Batu Pahat – Johor

The best thing of being behind the camera is that I can see moments of joy and happiness which is priceless. Each captured moments are eternal. This bride & groom were two happy couple which I think, the most enjoyable couple to be married, so far. I’ve attended numbers of wedding and each of it have different story to tell. For Fida & Syed, I can easily understand their characters while reading the bride’s blog.

Something that I didn’t expect to happen is, the brotherhood of her friends! They stayed together for 11 years until now from Maahad Muar back in 1998. I can see how close they are. Most of them stayed until we went out for photoshoot. Perhaps I could see more of this in future, oh yes, yes. Her bridesmaid, Akhmar, gonna get marry this November and I’ll be there to capture her wedding. I believe I’ll see bunch of them again soon.

This is the last wedding ceremony before Ramadhan. I’ll continue my journey right after Eid. 16th September to be exact (Hari Malaysia). Till then, enjoy..

He found out 2 organizer were having outings near this area. We decided to have a look. When we arrived, few big names were there. Salme from CSP, Papa Lensa, Nazri NS & Abu Nikon were already there. They have been waiting ever since early at 10. But the event started at almost 1p.m. 2 models were prepared. I’m glad they’re experienced models.

Thanks to organizer. We spent roughly almost 2 hours only. Have to rush back home & go to Muar at 3p.m+. Few photos taken from Outing Suka-Suki Kluang. More to come soon.

I’m pretty sure will visit Kota Bharu again sometimes later..

We spent few hours yesterday wandering around Batu Pahat old town in rain. She smiles, like, all the times. It’s really hard to get different expression from her. But yet, it makes me smile too. We waited for few hours before Faiz finished his work to shoot our portrait. He give damn wonderful photos, visit Faiz Blog to see how the changes of his works lately.

I took this portraits on October last year. She was very fine and never put her smile away. As I can remember, she was 80+ years old, the oldest single woman ever live in my village, one of the pioneer who brings all villager from Kedah back in 1970′s. She’s the one responsible teaching local how to plant paddy. She raised 7 of her kids all alone after her late husband passed away 20 years ago.

But today, she leaves them.. Rest in peace.. Tok Long.

Lepas jumpa 2 pasang client untuk bincang hal-hal majlis mereka, aku & Azam lalu sawah. Terasan macam dah sebulan tak ke sawah ni. Last sekali masa bawa pengantin sebulan lepas. Padi dah mula tinggi ni, bangau sebok tangkap anak ikan tengah sawah, petani berkejar halau burung makan padi & bangau pijak pokok padi. Rezeki musim ni harapnya lebih-lebihlah sikit.

I’ve been living here ever since. Sawah dah jadi sebahagian dari kehidupan aku jugak. Dulu sawah sagil tu, keluasannya sampai ke rumah aku ni. Tepi rumah aku ada bendang. Mak dari pagi sampai ke petang kena jaga burung. Masa kecik lagi mak dah kendong aku ke sawah. Tapi sekarang ni semua dah bertukar tanam sawit. Sawah padi tinggal berapa puluh ekar je. Dan aku harap sawah ni tak akan pupus sampai bila-bila..

While I came back from work, I found her laying on the floor in front of the door, unconscious. My heart broken apart… She’d just giving birth of 4 kittens few weeks ago. Still little.. She’s a mother of more than 15 kittens & big cats in my house. She brings so much joy. I fed her since 5 years ago. Blackie will brings anything she ever catch to share with her sons. She was able to catch birds, rats & squirrel.

Blackie have two brothers, my sister bring them from KL, but each of them died by similar cause, poison. The two of them didn’t stand a chance to come back home. Their body were found dead next to the scene. Only Blackie capable to reach home. I’ve just posted her daughter’s photos last two days. I hope she’ll always stays home..

I’ve heard of thought saying that if you photograph a cats, they’ll die. I never listened to it.. But somehow, when my cats gone, I feel guilty.

Blackie’s body still laying on her bed while I wrote this story. Her four little baby squeezing her mother for some milk. I wonder how I’m gonna raised these sooo tiny little baby which didn’t even know how to chew just yet…

I’ll bury her tomorrow. Rest in Peace, Blackie…
